Sheriff: Suspicious Man Taking Photos Of Girls In Albertville

Update: Sheriff says the suspect who fits the description was interviewed and it was determined that he is a real estate person photographing a foreclosed home. He denied taking pictures of any children and his story has been verified.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Wright County Sheriff's office is investigating after two juvenile females recently reported a man taking photos of them in Albertville.

Authorities said the incident was reported at about 12:40 p.m. last Friday near the area of 75th Street NE and Large Avenue. The sheriff's office said the man was spotted in a black four-door car taking pictures and left the area shortly after.  He's described as a white male about 50 to 60 years old wearing a black or brown cap.

Authorities said the man made no effort to lure the girls into his vehicle.

A flyer was posted Sunday about the incident, prompting a report Monday to the Wright County Sheriff's Office that a man matching the description of the suspect in the incident was spotted at the corner of Jason Avenue NE and Kassel Avenue NE. The man was wearing a camera around his neck, authorities said, at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Anyone with information about the incident or the man is asked to call the Wright County Sheriff's Office at 763-682-1162.
