Fourth Of July Fireworks Across South Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Celebrating the Fourth of July is all about barbecue, picnics, family time and, of course, fireworks.  If you're not sure where to go to see the pros light up the sky, why not check out one of these events.

Broward

Aventura's 4th of July Celebration
City of Aventura Government Center

Offering its July 4th celebration for its straight 18th consecutive year, the City of Aventura will not disappoint. It will take place at 9 pm and can be seen from any location along Country Club Drive. If rain day then date is scheduled for July 5.

Deerfield Beach's 4th of July Celebration
Main Beach Parking Lot (Ocean Way and SE 1st Street)

There will be entertainment, arts, crafts and food vendors as well as a Kid's Zone from 1-9 pm. Fireworks display at 9:00 pm. Trolleys will begin picking up and dropping off starting at 11:00 AM and will run continuously until 5:45 PM. At 5:45 PM all trolley pick up and drop offs will be stopped until 11:00 PM at which time the trolleys will begin running again continuously until midnight.

4th of July Spectacular On Fort Lauderdale Beach

Part of A1A is shut down for this beach blowout. The City of Fort Lauderdale puts on an amazing night lights show with fireworks bursting in the area while overlooking the moonlit shores. It's a treat for all involved but if you plan on attending, you should find a parking space quickly or take public transportation. This annual event is always packed and parking can be a problem. So grab a beach buddy, pack your patience and enjoy a fireworks show that is nothing short of spectacular. Fireworks at 9 p.m.

Hollywood Beach Theater July 4th Star Spangled Spectacular
100 Johnson Street

There will be fun for all ages at this celebration of our nation's 237th birthday. Start off at Charnow Park (Garfield Street and the Broadwalk) with a DJ, patriotic tattoos, music and games for children from 1 pm to 6 pm. Music at the Hollywood Beach Theatre gets going at 1 pm with Fusion Dance Band, then the Ruby Baker Band at 7 pm. The offshore fireworks display presented by Pyrotecnico starts promptly at 9 pm.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's Fourth of July Party
1 Seminole Way, Hollywood

Adrenaline will be pumping with ziplining and a rock climbing wall plus live music. Guests will chill out at the Portable Party Unit with a bar and HDTVs and the Cigar Lounge. Grab a beer at the Budweiser Beer Truck, where proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Stilt-walkers, face painters, henna tattoo artists and fortune tellers will add to the festive scene. Gourmet food trucks will offer popular fare from Che Grill, Daddy's Grill, HipPOPs Handcrafted Gelato Bars, Holy Smoked, Jefe's Original Fish Taco & Burgers, La Nostra Pizza, Marlie's Delights, Monster Burgers, Palate Party, Pescados Unidos and Sugar Yummy Mama. Entertainment and food from 6 - 10 p.m.

The evening celebration hits a patriotic note with a performance of the national anthem by Julia Dale, the 12-year-old South Florida girl who has recently caught the nation's eye singing at this year's NBA Championship, followed by a musically synchronized fireworks show at 9 p.m. Entry is free. Food and beverage costs are extra.


Lauderdale-By-The-Sea 4th of July Events

Lauderdale-By-The-Sea will take part in the 4th of July festivities by holding a parade on Bougainvilla Drive at 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. From 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. they will then host a picnic on Town Hall grounds as well as there will be jugglers, a dunk tank, live music and water hose demonstrations for kids by the Town's Volunteer Fire Department in El Prado Park, which is on the beach right across from Town Hall. Fireworks will conclude the event and will start going off at 9 p.m.

Margate's 4th of July Celebration
Margate Municipal Complex on 58th Avenue

The parade will be from 9-11:30 am along Margate Boulevard from 76th Avenue to Margate Municipal Complex. Immediately following the parade at the northwest corner of Margate Blvd. and SR 7 there will be free hot dogs, beverages, music and bounce houses. Cool off at the Calypso Cove pool party from 1-5 pm. The Margate Volunteer Intergenerational Band will perform and food trucks will be selling all types of goodies from 5-9 pm. Fireworks shoot off at 9 pm

Miramar's 4th of July Celebration/Fireworks
Miramar Regional Park (16801 Miramar Parkway)

The celebration starts at 7 pm, ending with a fireworks display at 9 pm.

Pembroke Pines July 4th Celebration
Pines Recreation Center (7400 Pines Blvd)

Festivities include rides and a concert; food trucks on site from 6-9 pm. Fireworks are at 9 pm.

Pompano Beach July 4th All Day Beach Bash & Fireworks Extravaganza
Pompano Beach Fishing Pier

Pompano Beach's all day affair features kids' activities and an antique car show from noon-6 pm. There will be a watermelon eating contest, relay races, arts and crafts projects, bounce houses and airbrush and glitter tattoos. Entertainment begins at 2 pm with Fourth Dimension, Rodeo Clowns, Sekond Nature and Slip and the Spinouts performing. "What's the Deal" game show follows the bands. Food trucks will on site from noon-9 pm. Bring blankets and lawn chairs for the fireworks which will be launched from the end of the Pompano Beach Fishing Pier at 9 pm.

Sunrise July 4th Parade/Family Fun Day
City Park (6700 Sunset Strip)

'Let Freedom Ring" parade will head down Sunset Strip from NW 12th Street to City Park, where there will be free food, rides and kids' fun. Festivities are from 10 am-1 pm.

Sunrise 4th of July Celebration at the BB&T Center
2555 NW 136th Ave., Sunrise

Celebrate the Fourth at this annual event featuring a patriotic parade, plus food and beverage vendors. The children's area includes bounce houses, games, face painters, jugglers, rides and rock climbing. Making Faces from West Palm Beach will kick off the music, and veteran rockers Soul Asylum ("Runaway Train," "Misery," and "Somebody to Shove") will play, followed by a fireworks finale. The event is held outside in the arena's parking lot.

Weston 4th of July Hometown Parade/5K Race

No fireworks in Weston but there is a 5K Race at 7 am from Weston Town Center. "Let Freedom Ring" hometown parade lineup is 9:30 am, starting at 10:30 am and traveling from Town Center Boulevard and Three Village Road. Parade route ends on Main Street.

Miami-Dade

4th of July at The Biltmore Hotel
1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables

Join in the festivities while celebrating the 4th of July at the Biltmore Hotel in Coconut Grove. Grounds open at 5 p.m. while a concert by the Greater Miami Symphonic Band begins at 7 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. The City and the Biltmore Hotel will host the event, and several others including the University of Miami, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, and corporate citizens: 396 Alhambra, HBO Latin America have come together to help sponsor this historic and patriotic event. CBS4 anchor Rhiannon Ally will act as Master of Ceremonies at this year's Independence Day celebration

4th Of July Celebration At Peacock Park
2820 McFarlane Road, Coconut Grove

The location of Peacock Park makes it one of the most popular in Miami. It is right by the bay and at the same time within walking distance of all the amenities of Coconut Grove. Moreover, it provides a giant space for concerts, games and parties. If you live in Coconut Grove, the best solution is to arrive on foot, because if you need to drive you are better off coming early and spending the day barbecuing or enjoying the food trucks to secure the best spots for the fireworks show.

City of Homestead Hosts Annual Grand 4th of July Celebration
Homestead-Miami Speedway

Race to 4th at Homestead-Miami Speedway for food, fun and fireworks! The event will include family entertainment, children's rides, food and drinks and games. Rock and roll bands Head First and Main Highway will be performing. Fireworks display is at 9 p.m. Cost: $15 tickets also available which include VIP parking inside the stadium, food and soft drinks inside the Champion's Club | 305-224-4570

America's Birthday Bash
Bayfront Park, Miami

One of the most known parks in Miami, Bayfront Park, is a popular destination for tourists, especially from the cruiselines. Located on the bay next to the Port of Miami and the American Airlines Arena, it is a location of a series of free events and classes all year round. Celebrating Independence Day at the park means free admission including a free kids' zone from 3 p,m. to 7 p.m. and the largest fireworks spectacle at 9 p.m. Just note that no cans, coolers or personal fireworks are allowed, although with such an array of restaurants and bars, libations will not be an issue.

Palmetto Bay/Cutler Bay 4th of July Fireworks Celebration
Black Point Park and Marina

Come out and celebrate the fourth of July with family and friends with a fireworks show at Black Point Park and Marina. The park opens at sunrise, boat ramps open at 6 a.m. Enjoy the park's bikeways, jogging trails, fishing and dockside restaurant. Parking is limited. No overflow parking available for boat trailers. The marina channel will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in preparation of the fireworks at 9 p.m.

West Palm Beach

4th of July in Delray Beach
A1A and Atlantic Avenue

Join in on the fun at Delray Beach on Independence Day with activities for everyone in the family running all day long and a beachside fireworks display taking place at the southend of the beach at 9 p.m. From a sand sculpture contest to an extreme volleyball match between Delray Beach and Miami Beach, this is a fun-filled day you won't want to miss
