NORTH ATTLEBORO (CBS) – Boston police were at the home of Aaron Hernandez early Friday morning executing a search warrant presumably in a 2012 murder investigation.

Hernandez is currently being held without bail for the murder of Odin Lloyd, 27, of Dorchester on June 17 in North Attleboro.

Now, authorities are trying to determine if Hernandez had a role in an early morning shooting July 16, 2012 in the South End.

Sources tell WBZ-TV investigators now believe that Lloyd may have had information about Hernandez's alleged role in that double murder.

Boston police arrived at Hernandez's North Attleboro home late Thursday night and waited for a search warrant.

They received it around 4 a.m. and then went inside for about an hour, taking pictures.

It did not appear that investigators left with anything. No evidence bags or boxes were seen as officers departed around sunrise.

They did not speak to reporters camped outside the home.
