Video: Chase Utley Surprises Phillies Fan With Cancer, On Ellen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The saying made famous by the late, great Harry Kalas, "Chase Utley you are the man," has never rung truer than today.
Julie Kramer, is a 23-year-old die-hard Phillies fan battling Stage 4 synovial sarcoma---an extremely rare form of cancer. On Monday afternoon during an appearance on "Ellen", after she was presented with a $10,000 check from Target to help with her medical costs, Kramer was surprised on the show by Utley, her favorite player.
An estastic Kramer whispered in Utley's ear when he greeted her with a hug. All the camera picked up was, "'08, I can't say it."
"I'm with it," Utley responded, presumably about his infamous 'World [expletive] Champs' comment during the parade. "I'm totally with it."
Utley invited Kramer to attend any game and hang out with the team whenever she wants.
"If you insist!" a teary-eyed Kramer said sarcastically. "That would be so cool."
