BPD Increases Patrols After 3 Separate Attacks On Women In Beacon Hill

BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Police have issued a community alert after three women were attacked and sexually assaulted in separate incidents in the Beacon Hill neighborhood in the past two days. One of those attacks happened in broad daylight.

Investigators say all three incidents have similarities and maybe connected.

Police say all three victims were approached from behind; two were attacked while trying to get into their homes.

Police say one of the victims was outside her home in the area of Anderson Street near Phillips Street at about 2:15 p.m. on Thursday when a man came up from behind and groped her.

The other two incidents happened within minutes of each other around 11:30 p.m. on Friday.

One of the victims was trying to get into her home in the area of Phillips Street when she was knocked to the ground and sexually assaulted.

About two minutes after the suspect took off from the scene, another woman was groped in the area of Garden Street near Phillips Street.

All three victims reported the suspect as being a white male.

The first victim said he appeared to be in his early 20's, about 5'7" and 150 lbs. with a thin build, fair skin, dark hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a black/white flat-brimmed baseball cap, long sleeve black shirt and believed to be wearing shorts and sneakers.

The suspect in the second incident was described as being in his late 20's to early 30's, about 5' 6" with a medium build, wavy or shaggy hair over his ears, light complexion, wearing a blue hoodie and dark pants.

The third victim described the suspect as approximately 25 year old, 5'9" and 165 lbs. with a medium to thin build, wearing a black knit cap, dark colored t-shirt, baseball shorts, and dark chin-length hair.

Boston Police have increased patrols in the area. They're encouraging anyone who sees anything suspicious to call 911.
