Police: Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Southwest Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police are investigating after they say a man was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday night.
Police say it happened at 6:18 p.m. in the 2800 block of Island Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.
According to police, a man in his 70's was found in the middle of the intersection. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was later pronounced dead.
Police do not have any information on the striking vehicle.
The accident remains under investigation.
