Police: 84-Year-Old Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Plymouth Township

PLYMOUTH Twp., Pa. (CBS)--On Thursday October 10th, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Plymouth Township Police Officers responded to the 1300 block of E. Ridge Pike for a robbery at the point of gun.

The victim was the 84-year-old proprietor of the real estate business located within the building.  The victim told police that he "buzzed" the two suspects into the secured building.

The victim said that the suspects were unknown to him and they entered the business under the guise of seeking a home for rent.  The victim said he advised the suspects that he did not have any available rental units at the present time.

After this interaction the first suspect displayed a dark colored handgun and pointed it at the victim. The second suspect came around the victim's desk and proceeded to tie the victim to his desk chair.  While second suspect was tying up the victim, the first suspect reached into the victim's pocket and took all of his money.

The first suspect is described as Black male, approximately 5'11" tall, heavy build, wearing a dark colored jacket, white T shirt, light colored pants, possibly gray sweatpants and white and darker colored sneakers.

This suspect made no attempt to conceal his face as it was completely exposed during the entire robbery.

The second suspect was wearing a light hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up high over and concealing his head, covered by a short sleeve ankle length  "Middle Eastern Burka style" or "Dashiki style" top with vertical stripes, and an open neckline, and dark sneakers with white bottoms.

This suspect's face was also covered by a dark mask covering the nose and mouth, and at no time was their face exposed.

The suspects fled the robbery by the same door which they entered, on foot towards an alley behind the business.

Anyone who has any knowledge or information about the identity of the suspects is asked to call the Plymouth Township Police Detective Division at 610-279-1901 or email Detective Anthony Costello at ACostello@plymouthtownship.org
