Man, 22, In Custody After Allegedly Firing Shots In Silverado Canyon

SILVERADO (CBSLA.com) — A 22-year-old man was in custody Thursday for allegedly firing shots near an equestrian center at Jackson Ranch in Silverado Canyon.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shots fired call around 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williams Canyon and Modjeska Canyon roads.

SWAT officers evacuated several people from the property as they searched the perimeter.

Authorities later located Tyler Tennigkeit near the site of a traffic crash on Santiago Canyon Road.

"A vehicle was seen leaving the area of the Jackson Ranch property; that vehicle was involved in some type of collision," Lt. Jeff Hallock said.

Tennigkeit was arrested and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, according to officials.

A search warrant was served Wednesday night at Tennigkeit's home, which is adjacent to the equestrian center.

Authorities recovered a weapon from his bedroom and shell casings outside the residence that matched the weapon, Hallock said.

No injuries were reported.
