Rob Gronkowski Reads From 'A Gronking To Remember' At Media Day

BOSTON (CBS) -- Three years ago, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski answered question after question about his injured ankle on Media Day.

His second Media Day was much different.

Gronkowski stole the show, as you expect he would with a wide array of reporters (and characters) asking questions at US Airways Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. He talked about everything from being back in Arizona (where he attended college), what his favorite number is, and the worst dancer on the team (he said it was Edelman). Gronk, of course, said he was the best dancer on the Patriots, and even showed off some of his moves.

He gave shoutouts to his fans in China and Germany, and talked glowingly about the Seattle Seahawks, New England's opponent in Super Bowl XLIX.

But it was 98.5 The Sports Hub's Rich Shertenlieb who got the quote of the day from Gronk.

Rich asked Gronk about the erotic novel that features his likeness, "A Gronking To Remember." Gronk is well aware of the book, and has seen parts of it thanks to his friends and social media.

But he hadn't read the ending, which has him delivering one of his patented spikes in a very interesting place. So Rich had him read it out loud for all of Media Day to hear.

"In front of the entire country, Gronk's spike impacts right between my butt cheeks," he read with a giggle.

"The rest is pretty outrageous too, but it's pretty funny," he said of the book.

"If someone wants it, that would be pretty funny," he added of the character's odd request.

Gronk's Guarantee From Media Day:

Be sure to tune in to 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich on Wednesday morning for a full recap of their time at Media Day.

Tune in to Super Bowl XLIX on 98.5 The Sports Hub — the flagship station of the New England Patriots. It's the only place to hear Bob Socci & Scott Zolak's local call of the game!
