Man Charged With Trespassing At Burr Ridge Mansion For Second Time

(CBS) -- A Lombard man has been caught trespassing at a Burr Ridge mansion for the second time, reports WBBM's Nancy Harty.

The charges against Kiril Kostov from when he was caught last month by Burr Ridge police leaving a 30,000-square-foot mansion known as Villa Taj are more serious compared to his trespassing charge there in February.

"He is accused of residential burglary, he has been charged with that and criminal damage to property over $300 from his entering into the home, stealing items of the homeowners and also causing damage to a hot tub," said Burr Ridge Deputy Chief Marc Loftus.

Loftus says the 34-year-old Kostov is accused of stealing liquor. A woman found with him was not charged. Loftus says it appears Kostov told her he or a relative owned the home.

The home, which has nine fireplaces, a ballroom and a 20 car garage, was foreclosed on three years ago and then sold for $3 million.
