Curt Schilling Fires Back At Cyberbullies Targeting His Daughter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Internet bullies recently targeted the daughter of former Phillies pitcher Curt Schilling. The comments angered Schilling and he is not standing for the offensive remarks made about his daughter.

Gabby Schilling was recently accepted into Salve Regina University in Rhode Island. She will attend the school and play softball. Schilling took to Twitter last week to congratulate her.

Numerous Twitter users began to tweet vulgar and some sexually explicit remarks about Schilling's daughter.

Schilling took to his own blog and defended his daughter while also identifying two specific users that he says are students at New Jersey colleges.

"These boys have yet to understand one of life's most important lessons. In the real world you get held accountable for the things you say and if you are not careful that can mean some different things," Schilling wrote on his blog.

Schilling also took the time to apologize for any embarrassment that he might have caused his daughter for coming to her defense in a public forum. She did not seem to mind.
