Unemployed, Single Mom Having A Terrible Day Posts Thank You Letter Hoping Kind Stranger Who Fixed Her Tire Sees It

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle." ~ Plato.

That was certainly the case for Katie143, a single mom visiting the Bay Area. She was having a very bad day -- the kind of day that leaves you wondering, 'what else can possibly go wrong?' Apparently, the kindness of one stranger made all the difference.

She posted this thank you note on Reddit "Thank you to the kind stranger who bought me a new tire in the Bay Area," in hopes her good Samaritan will see it.

"I'm a single Mother with two kids and I just recently moved to Cali to pursue a new job opportunity, I was in the Bay Area for a job interview and on the way back home I had a blow out but luckily I was able to pull off the road, I was on the verge of tears because I mean, that's no way I could afford to fix it. I don't even have food in the fridge much less a spare tire! And I won't be seeing a paycheck for at least three weeks, you also gave me 10 bucks for something to eat and I just wanted you to know I'm truly grateful, god bless you sir. I hope you see this."

After seeing her post, another stranger even offered to send her a few dollars to help with her groceries -- "I don't have much myself but ...I'll send you 5 bucks :)"

So, kind stranger, if you see this, please know that Katie143 is truly grateful and says 'thank you.'

You made the Bay Area look good.
