The ambassador spoke at the Jesse White Community Center where the Nepali and Asian communities held an earthquake relief fundraiser along with Secretary of State White.

"When one segment of society is hurting, all of us hurt," White said.

Ambassador Karki said he has seen millions in donations to help rebuild but said people can feel the small donations more.

"With the smaller the amount, you can feel the sympathy and the solidarity more in the smaller amount than big amount," Karki said.

He thanked people for their sympathy and empathy.
