The actor, whose Happy Gilmore Productions are filming The Ridiculous Six in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico, has had a crew of Native American actors walk off the set according to a report from the Indian Country Today Media Network.

“I was asked a long time ago to do some work on this and I wasn't down for it," Navajo Nation tribal member Loren Anthony told ICTMN. "Then they told me it was going to be a comedy, but it would not be racist. So I agreed to it but on Monday things started getting weird on the set."

Anthony confirmed that 12 actors, largely from the Navajo Nation, walked out. Complaints included disparagement of women (including a female character named Beaver's Breath) and elders, incorrect and stereotypical costumes depicting Apaches and outright disrespect for Native American culture.

"They were being disrespectful," 74-year-old David Hill, a Choctaw and a member of the American Indian Movement, told ICTMN. "They were bringing up those same old arguments that Dan Snyder uses in defending the Redskins. But let me tell you, our dignity is not for sale.
