Some Sign Shenanigans In Pittsburgh: Go 'Bucs' Becomes Go 'Cubs'

(CBS) -- A sneaky Cook County sheriff's deputy reportedly pulled of some shenanigans with a sign, changing a pro-Pittsburgh message into one favoring the Cubs.

There's a big baseball playoff game between the Pirates (aka Bucs) and the Cubs tonight, in case you haven't heard.

Rummana Hussain of the Chicago Sun-Times reports the cop went into this building near PNC Park in Pittsburgh and rearranged a few letters to totally change the message -- from "Let's Go Bucs" to "Let's Go Cubs."

The video evidence was discovered. According to this post on Facebook by Travis Mpistolarides:

"So we're at a bar right next to PNC and there's an office building that reads lets go bucs. My dad goes in the elevator low key to the office and switches it to let's go Cubs. Somehow nobody saw him #wearegood."

All in good fun!

First pitch for tonight's NL wild-card game between the Pirates and the Cubs is set for 7:08 p.m.

As of 11 a.m., nobody had changed the sign, it was reported.

I asked a worker at the Beer Market to step outside around 11:45 and he reports the sign has been switched back to "BUCS."

Another company occupies that floor. The Beer Market employee said he would still be happy to serve any Cubs fans, with no hard feelings, provided they pay their bar bill.

"As long as it's green," he said.
