Although the World Cup 2014 fever is in the sports history books forever, L.A. is still singing the fight song for many teams and enjoying sports of all kinds. Sports bring people together; and why not hang out in some of the best sports bars in L.A. for "the big game?" Whether you have a team or not, these five local sports bars and restaurants are worth the night out. Taking into consideration the atmosphere, the menu, the TVs (of course) and the overall vibe, these sports bars are where you want to be for your favorite pastime.

Open all season long for all sports, Goal Sports Café gives customers up to 80 out-of-market games a week, including the local L.A. teams. Subscribers of Fox Soccer Plus (which broadcasts the best international and club soccer matches), Major League Baseball, NHL Center Ice, NBA League Pass, MLS Direct Kick, NFL Sunday Ticket, UFC pay per view and so many more, Goal serves an extensive food menu (even breakfast for those early morning games), created by Executive Chef Jonah Johnson. Sample a main entree like the crunchy turkey tacos, The End Zone Caribbean marinated chicken or shrimp dish or the pineapple brown sugar ham sandwich. For more than 90 years, along the iconic Route 66 in West Hollywood, Barney's Beanery is a casual and comfortable joint for sports viewing and the bar's classic all-beef chili. For a great meal and a cool vibey spot to catch the game of the day, Dark Room is the answer for you. Flat-screens abound for easy and clear viewing. Q's Billiard Club is a neighborhood hangout on the west side of town. More than 30 TVs keep the attention of any sports fan. A great bar to meet up with friends, Q's is a staple for playing pool (12 pool tables), happy hour, trivia nights and beer pong. Open until 2 a.m., Q's is very much a Southern California-style location - offering three outdoor patios. Check out the bar menu which offers such fare as the signature house salad with fried onions, a buffalo chicken wrap, melt sandwiches and sweet potato or garlic fries.
