A Roundup Of The Twitter Explosion After Tom Brady's Court Victory

BOSTON (CBS) -- New England's hero has been freed. The Evil Overlord Roger Goodell has been vanquished. And most importantly, sanity has been restored for football fans across America and we can finally start talking about, well, football.

Judge Richard Berman announced Thursday morning that Tom Brady's four game suspension for his alleged role in DeflateGate has been overturned, effective immediately. The league will likely fight the decision at the next level, so the case isn't completely over - but for now this is a major victory for Brady, the Patriots, and New England.

And of course, Twitter absolutely exploded with reactions. Including this one from the Patriots themselves that sums it up:

The Sports Hub team of course had a field day with the news, the Twitter equivalent of a champagne-soaked World Series celebration.

And the guys from Barstool Sports, who caught on to the NFL's apparent sting operation when most of the country were still talking about air pressure, also seemed pretty happy about the ruling.

And plenty of fans had some amusing reactions as well.

Even an Eagles fan got in on it!

Of course, the biggest anti-Patriots trolls in this whole debacle came out of the woodwork to try and rain on New England's parade. These tweets were about as effective as the Steelers' porous secondary will be when Brady torches them next Thursday in the season opener.

Well, at least Hubbuch still has the gall to tweet with people in real-time. The Indianapolis Star's Gregg Doyel is working on a "column" about it. Presumably just a keyboard fart.

Patriots players also tweeted their support for Brady.

You know what this means now: Brady is going to absolutely light it up when he takes the field against the Steelers next Thursday night. He always does well against their schemes and their secondary isn't up to snuff, so expect a bloodbath. Scorched earth. I know I'll have my welding mask ready.

What was YOUR reaction to Judge Berman's ruling? Sound off in the comments!

UPDATE: This is hilarious.
