Best Music Shops In The Bay Area

The art of the musical instrument store is a dying breed, much like the almost non-existent record store. Thankfully, even though the online choices are immense, choosing the right musical instrument is a tangable find, with the feel of the instrument just as, if not more important than the look. The San Francisco Bay Area, with an entire musical genre born and breed in the '60s, has produced modern acts such as Metallica and Green Day, with some of the best musicians residing here including guitar virtuosos Joe Satriani and Carlos Santana. So it's with little surprise some of the best music stores in California, if not the nation, live in the Bay Area. We take a look at some of the best, no matter what skill level you are, whether you are looking for your first instrument, a gift, or looking for something vintage and unique.
