Bears' Matt Forte To Play Against Packers; Alshon Jeffery, Pernell McPhee In Question

By Chris Emma--

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- With kickoff in Green Bay two days away, the Bears welcomed running back Matt Forte, receiver Alshon Jeffery and linebacker Pernell McPhee to the practice field Tuesday, though each participated in a limited role.

Jeffery couldn't commit to playing, though he sounded upbeat. McPhee, in a jovial manner, denied his knee is a problem. Meanwhile, Forte ran full speed in Tuesday's practice.

"I'm good enough to go," Forte said.

In the Bears' Sunday loss to the Broncos, Forte (knee) and Jeffery (groin) didn't play, while McPhee (knee) took the field for just 38 of the 69 defensive snaps. Forte has missed Chicago's last three games with an MCL sprain, with rookie Jeremy Langford filling in his place at running back.

Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio confirmed that it will likely be Chris Prosinski starting at safety in place of Antrel Rolle, who suffered a knee injury last Saturday in a walk-through for the game against the Broncos.

Additionally, receiver Eddie Royal (knee) and running back Ka'Deem Carey (concussion) were all sidelined Tuesday.

The Bears also received another addition, as rookie receiver Kevin White was seen on the practice field for the portion open to the media. This was his first participation since the Bears opened a three-week window within the PUP list rules.

Kickoff on Thursday comes at 7:30 between the Bears (4-6) and Packers (7-3).
