To The Victors Of The Cubs-Cards Series Go ... The Delicacies

(CBS) – Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has laid it on line: If the Cubs lose their upcoming postseason series with the Cardinals, his counterpart in St. Louis will be well-fed and might even take in some cool sights.

Emanuel's office announced Thursday the Chicago side of the wager for the National League Division Series that begins Friday in St. Louis.

Among the locally produced items Emanuel has wagered:

  • A case of Revolution Brewing's Oktoberfest (October signifying the postseason)
  • A Lou Malnati's deep dish pizze and Portillo's Italian Beef combo
  • Fifteen order of chicken vesuvio from Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse
  • A "Cubbie blue" Eli's cheesecake

Emanuel has also wagered tickets to the Willis Tower Skydeck, two tickets to the Chicago Architecture Foundation's river cruise and a personal donation to the youth charity of St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay's choice.

It wasn't immediately known what Slay will wager, if the Cardinals lose.
