Here are some of the best local florist shops to get more than just a bouquet of roses.
With two shops in Boston, Twig dubs itself "your neighborhood floral studio." Twig is not only a spot to buy fresh flowers daily, but you can also decorate your event whether it is a birthday, wedding, or anniversary party. A unique part of this floral studio is that they offer floral design classes, that way you can learn to make your own bouquets.
Thornton's in South Boston is located just off the intersection of Dorchester Street and West Broadway. Its claim to fame is being the setting for "the florist" in the 2010 movie The Town. Step into Thornton's and you feel like you are in a greenhouse, the smell of fresh flowers filling the air. Thornton's offers local delivery and visit their website for a "deal of the day".

Located on Centre Street, New Leaf JP is a boutique flower shop started by Winston alums Daniel Lopez-Ospina and Jeb Taylor. The New Leaf team prides themselves in having totally unique, never-duplicated floral arrangements, tailoring each to the specific client and occasion.
