Autopsy: Mother Found Dead In Chatham Home Strangled

(CBS) -- The Cook County Medical Examiner has ruled that a mother found dead with her three sons inside a East Chatham home earlier this month was strangled.

28-year-old Latoya Jackson was found dead with her three children inside a home in the 8300 block of South Drexel on July 18. The bodes were decomposing and an initial autopsy was unable to determine the cause of death.

On Tuesday, the Cook County Medical Examiner ruled that Jackson died from ligature strangulation ruled it a homicide.

The causes of death for the three sons; ages 11, 9, and 5, are still pending.
