Man Stopped Boy On Bike, Fondled Him Before Locals Intervened: Police

(CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly fondled an 11-year-old boy last week on Chicago's Northwest Side.

The victim was riding his bicycle with other children in the 4800 block of West Cornelia Avenue around 8 p.m. on April 23 when an adult male grabbed him. The suspect inappropriately touched the boy and told him, "I thought you were my girlfriend," Chicago Police said in a community alert issued Wednesday.

The suspect fled when several people came out to help the children, police said.

He's described as a bald, 200-pound white male, five feet, nine inches tall, who was wearing a yellow safety vest and black sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes.
