Best Movie Theater Deals In Orange County

It is always great to score a deal. Pinch a few pennies here and there and you can still save while having fun. Whether you like to watch newly released box office hits, films that have been in theaters for a few weeks, or just enjoy classic movies, there are deals to be had in Orange County. Deals can include discounted admission on certain days and times, discounts and combo deals on concessions, and enrolling in a theater's rewards program which can get you freebies like free popcorn, candy, sodas, and even admission. The Frida Cinema is the OC's only non-profit independent art house cinema. Their standard tickets prices are very low compared to most cinemas: $10 for adults and $8 for children, students, military, and seniors. Every Sunday at 11 a.m., a family-friendly classic movie is shown on the big screen. Every screening is opened with classic cartoons. Admission price is only $5 for adults and $1 for children.

The Port Theater has been in Corona del Mar since 1949. Surviving years of closure and possible demolition, the theater was reopened in 2012. The Sunday Brunch Series features box office movies with endless brunch buffet, sparkling wine, and mimosas - $55 for adults, $30 for children. Port VIP Card gives the holder 2 free movie tickets and free popcorn each visit, 50% off all beverages (including alcohol). It also includes discounts to local businesses like Avila's El Ranchito, Bayside Restaurant, Side Door, Fig & Olive, Five Crowns, Mayur Cuisine of India, B Candy, and more. The cost is $200 and valid for the rest of 2016.

Cinema City Theatre shows the latest box office movie hits. They have many different movies deals depending on the day you plan to go. Matinees before 12 p.m. are only $5. Matinees before 6 p.m. are only $7. Super Value Days - Sunday show times before 6 p.m. and show times all day Monday and Tuesday are only $5. Senior Days for ages 55+ on all show times Wednesday and Thursday are only $4. Starlight Cinemas also has a Frequent Moviegoer rewards program to keep the deals coming.

Picture Show has fantastic pricing on fairly newly released movies. Show times before 6 p.m. are only $2. Show times after 6 p.m. are $3. All 3D movies are only $4. They also offers great prices on concessions like $1 hot dogs and popcorn combos. Before or after the movie, you can walk off some calories inside MainPlace Mall.

Brea Plaza 5 is situated near the 57 freeway in Brea, a stone's throw from the Brea Mall. This theater shows fairly recently released films. Show times before 5 p.m. are only $3.25. Show times after 5 p.m. are $4. For those of you who are Rocky Horror Picture Show fans, Brea Plaza 5 will have two 10 p.m. showings on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 for only $5.
