Introducing The 'Sam Bradford Sandwich'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Drew Abbruzzese, like most Eagles fans, are fed up with Sam Bradford.
Bradford is refusing to participate in voluntary team activities after his agent requested a trade, following the Eagles' trade up to pick No. 2 for Carson Wentz.
So, Abbruzzese of Big Q BBQ in Levittown, has created a sandwich. The first 150 will be free on Wednesday.
"The guy is guaranteed 22 million dollars and acting like a baby," Abbruzzese told the 94WIP Morning Show on Wednesday. "We just wanted to get it out there. Everybody is talking about it. He's not talking to [Doug] Pederson, he's not playing, he's not gonna practice. And that kind of attitude requires a little bit of hazing so to speak."
Here's what is in the 'Bradford sandwich' and Abbruzzese's explanation on what it represents.
- Boneless fried chicken: "The only one I don't need to explain."
- Pulled pork: "Inevitably the guy is gonna get pulled."
- A potato roll: "The guy goes down like a sack of potatoes."
- Crispy fried jalapeños: "To represent the hot seat."
- Cream cheese: "Just a little nod to Philadelphia."
The sandwich is amazingly served on a Sam Bradford jersey, which Abbruzzese says are marked down from $100 to $15. The sandwich will be $5 until Bradford is traded and then will go up to $7.
"Make sure you drip plenty of cream cheese, and barbecue sauce, and jalapeños all over," Abbruzzese said.
