Woman Says Detroit-Area Cop Used Phone To See Her Nude

HAZEL PARK, Mich. (AP) - A Detroit-area woman says a cellphone seized by police was used to spy on her while she was naked and nursing her son.

Megan Pearce filed a lawsuit Tuesday against a Hazel Park officer, Michael Emmi. She claims the phone belonged to her fiance and was seized by police in a marijuana investigation.

Pearce, a Warren police dispatcher, says the phone was used to activate a camera in her home. Her attorney, Kevin Ernst, calls it "creepy."

Hazel Park police Chief Martin Barner says Emmi is an "exemplary" officer and remains on the job. He says he wants to know more about the allegations but doubts they're true.
