Shocking Video: Girl, 4, Attacked By Pit Bull In The Bronx
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 4-year-old girl was attacked by a vicious pit bull in the Bronx this past weekend, in an incident that was captured on surveillance video.
The girl was walking with a woman on Webster Avenue Sunday, when the dog ran through the intersection and jumped on her.
Seconds later, a group of bystanders ran over to pull the dog off.
"At first the dog tried to bite her in the face, but he grabbed the jacket, he bit her on the leg," said a witness, Eduardo Candeler. "He was trying to take it out but he was holding her."
The girl was taken to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Her condition was not known Tuesday night.
