A physical altercation between two groups of people began shortly after midnight Saturday outside The Crosby Bar and Nightclub, 400 N. Broadway, according to Sgt. Richard Weber of the Santa Ana Police Department.

When officers arrived they found Kim Pham, who appeared unconscious, on the sidewalk. The Westminster resident was transported to Western Medical Center where she has been on life support.

The motive for the attack remains unclear, Col. Anthony Bertagna said.

"Based on going to you, the media, and going to the public, people have come forward that have provided us with videos and have come in and provided statements that have given detectives enough information to believe that this person was involved in at least the physical part of this altercation," Bertagna said.

Police are still looking for the four other suspects they believe were involved.

Anyone with information who witnessed the fight or has any further information was asked to contact the Crimes Against Persons Unit at (714)245-8390 or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS. Santa Ana businesses have joined to offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to the suspects.

Meanwhile, loved ones are leaving flowers and candles for the victim outside The Crosby.

"She's touched a lot of hearts," said Larry Trinh, a friend of the victim. "The care that she showed everyone, I mean you can see the support just by how many flowers, how many candles there is. Of course, everyone is shocked. Everyone is sad and depressed at the same time, just to know that something like this could happen."
