Actor Chris Kattan Arrested For DUI On 101 Freeway In Encino

ENCINO (CBSLA.com) — Actor and comedian Chris Kattan was arrested early Monday for DUI after he allegedly crashed into a maintenance truck on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. on the westbound Ventura Freeway, near the Balboa Boulevard exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A woman had called 911 to report that a "Mercedes was weaving all over the roadway at slow speeds," officials said.

Kattan's Mercedes then collided with a Department of Transportation vehicle that was parked on the shoulder for maintenance work, according to the CHP.

The 43-year-old "Saturday Night Live" alum was not injured in the crash and was able to exit his car, the CHP said.

No other injuries were reported.

Officers arrested Kattan, who later shared his thoughts on Twitter.

According to authorities he was released on a $15,000 bond around 7:40 a.m.
