Family Members Of Man Killed In Road Rage Incident Ask For Information

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After a man was shot dead during a fit of road rage, his family is making another plea for help. Now they are turning to social media, hoping someone who witnessed the incident along the Maryland/Pennsylvania line will come forward.

Jessica Kartalija has more.

A special Pennsylvania state police task force is investigating the killing.

After new video is released showing a blue Ford Ranger heading south on Interstate 81 on January 4, police believe the truck violently rammed Timothy Davison off the Interstate, leaving him stuck in the median---but that wasn't enough. Moments later, the driver turned around, firing multiple shots into Davison's car, killing him.

Now Davison's family is posting a Facebook page. His mother says it's been three months and the killer is still out there.

"People get back into their routine and they think everything is okay. That's why I want to keep it alive because those people are not safe," she said.

Police want to find the suspect's vehicle but they are also hoping to talk with witnesses.

The 28-year-old was driving back to Maine after visiting family in Florida. Police say the driver in the pickup truck chased Davison for 15 miles, starting near Hagerstown.

"Throughout the course of the investigation, everything that we have come across, we are confident that is the vehicle," a police official said.

Davison's family hopes the new Facebook page will lead police to the killer and keep others on the road safe.

If you have any information on the road rage incident, you are asked to call state police or Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS.
