Fire In Easton Hotel Leaves At Least 4 Injured

EASTON, Pa. (CBS/AP) — At least four people have been injured in a two-alarm fire in northeastern Pennsylvania.

The blaze broke out shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday along Route 611 in Forks Township, Northampton County. The building houses the Mineral Springs Hotel and includes a bar and restaurant with upstairs apartments.

Emergency officials first responded to a complaint of domestic disturbance, and arrived to find heavy smoke engulfing the building and flames shooting from the top floor and roof.

Township police Chief Greg Dorney said two police officers were treated for smoke inhalation and at least two residents at the historic hotel and apartments were treated for injuries from the fire. A Northampton County emergency dispatcher said one resident suffered burns.

There's no immediate word on what sparked the fire.
