Hit & Run Suspect Arrested After 1 Killed In Van-Motorcycle Crash In Lowry

DENVER (CBS4) - Police have arrested a suspected hit-and-run driver after one person was killed in a crash late Wednesday night in Denver's Lowry neighborhood.

Police say the driver of a van, identified as William Pettapiece, 32, slammed into a motorcyclist after 11 p.m. at South Monaco Parkway and East Alameda Avenue. The driver of that motorcycle was taken to the hospital but died soon afterwards.

Investigators think Pettapiece may have been drinking. He was arrested shortly after fleeing from the crash.

The victim's name hasn't been released.
