LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The LAPD has released surveillance video of a man suspected in last month's killing of a female store clerk in South Los Angeles.

Surveillance footage shows a tall black man in a baggy green jacket and a black baseball cap walking into the store and then running out.

Detective Eric Crosson says investigators need the public's help in finding the man in the video.

"I would consider him to be about as dangerous a person as you can imagine," Crosson said.

"If he decided that he needed to kill an unarmed woman, I can't imagine that there's anybody he wouldn't be willing to hurt."

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately six feet tall.

Investigators say, Sanchez, a mother-of-five, did not resist or fight back during the attack.

Her brother, Juan Arevalo, pleaded with anyone who recognized the man in the video to call police during a press conference Wednesday.

"We ask everybody in the community to help us," he said. "The pain that we are going through is very hard."

Police: Person Of Interest In Custody

Police say they have a person of interest in the case who is in custody on unrelated charges but they say they need more evidence.

Anyone with information should contact the LAPD's Criminal Gang/Homicide Division at (213) 485-1383.
