Flowers in the fall? You betcha! Especially when matched with textured fall fabrics like wool or suede. "Every season we see a floral print, but this time around, the bright colors will be mixed with darker shades like black and brown as well as earth tones to give it that fall feel," Schuppler explains.
Did you attend a music festival this summer? Every other girl donned flared jeans, bohemian dresses, paisley and tunics. Where did we see this before? Why, yes, the 1970s! They're back for fall, too. "This is the year of retro in fashion," says Schuppler. "Look for floppy suede hats, wide leg pants, the color of burnt orange and psychedelic prints to bring out the flower child in all of us."
We see tons of one-shoulder gowns on the red carpet, but the style is coming into its own in an array of tops."Not only will we see a bunch of one shoulder straps on tops and dresses," Schuppler says, "we will also see a difference on each shoulder! Your left shoulder might be a solid print while your right shoulder will have a subtle print like muted stripes, giving this trend a fun contrast."

Not exactly like the one your granddad wears at Thanksgiving, the turtleneck dickie has come out of its 1960s shell to the point of being crowned THE day-to-night accessory of the season. How to deal with it? "Throw on a cotton or thin soft cashmere option with a blouse for the work place and take it to night by pairing it with your LBD," Schuppler advises. "We will also see lace options that are a great way to make an everyday outfit a little sexier!"
Runway shows featured everything from ripped tights to sweet Swiss Dots and the naughty go-to fishnets. As Schuppler explains, "When the cold weather hits we want to be able to stay warm but still look great doing it. We will see tons of printed tights with options that are a little distressed looking, geometrical patterns, fishnets, lace and even animal prints." Start doing your lunges now to get your legs in gear for autumn.
