Small Plane Crash Lands At Half Moon Bay Airport

HALF MOON BAY (CBS SF) -- A pilot escaped injury in a plane crash at Half Moon Bay Airport on Tuesday night, when the aircraft's retractable landing gear remained up instead of down, an airport operations employee said Wednesday.

The twin piston engine plane was landing at the airport on Cabrillo Highway in Half Moon Bay around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The plane sustained minor damage to its belly but the only person on board, the pilot, was not injured, according to the airport employee.
