Area Counties Issue Code Blues In Advance Of Next Batch Of Snow

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ (CBS) – Camden County and Montgomery County have both issued a "Code Blue" weather advisory.

The Code Blue in Camden is in effect from 6 p.m. on Monday until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11th.

Camden says heavy snow is expected to begin falling around 7 a.m. and end in the early afternoon, with low temperatures between 28 and 32 degrees and winds of about 10-20 miles per hour.

"After yesterday's unexpected snow accumulation the cold, wet, weather will continue and will be extreme for the morning hours," Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services, said. "It is imperative to find shelter during these events and not be exposed to the outdoor elements for a prolonged period of time."

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the Code Blue there is in effect from 8 p.m. on Monday, December 9 until noon on Friday, December 13.
