I've seen shots out of the water by golfers. I don't think I have ever seen a golfer jump into a lake because of bugs though.

Professional golfer Pablo Larrazabal was attacked by hornets during the Malaysian Open so what else is there to do, other than strip down and jump into a lake.

According to the BBC:

"I felt something on my nose, not bees, they were three times the size of bees," said Larrazabal, who was on the fifth hole, his 14th, at the time.
"They were huge and 30 or 40 of them. I ran to the lake, threw my scorecard down, took off my shoes and jumped in.

Larrazabal was stung 20 times and managed to not only birdie the hole but went onto shoot a 68.
