13-Year-Old Boy Killed, Another Teen Wounded In Atlantic City Double Shooting

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., (CBS) – Police say a 13-year-old boy was killed and another teen was injured in a double shooting Wednesday afternoon in Atlantic City.

It happened shortly before 3 p.m. in the area of Virginia Avenue and Route 30.

CBS 3 is told the 13-year-old boy was shot just about a block away from where he went to school, nearby Pennsylvania Avenue School. There are indications there may have been some kind of argument before witnesses heard the shots.

A second teenager was rushed to Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center. He was shot in the leg and he is expected to survive.  Police have not released his age.

Atlantic City Police have not released any further details.
