Family Asks For Help In Find Missing Local Musician

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miami Beach Police are searching for a local musician who went missing almost two weeks ago.

Jorge Reyes, 24, was last seen on April 7th at a bar on Miami Beach.

"It's very difficult to wonder where he is, if he's alive or not, what happened to him?" said the young man's father, Jorge Reyes.

The guitarist was last seen drinking and playing pool with friends at the 'Lost Weekend' on Hispanola Way. Surveillance video shows Reyes and a friend leaving at around 3:30 Sunday morning, turning into an alley where they locked their bikes.

Reyes cell phone was found days later inside the nightclub. Phone records show his last call was made around 12:15 a.m. on April 7th to a friend he went out with. No one has had any contact with him since.

"He's always connected, now he's nothing," said Reyes. "I'm very worried. He's never done anything like that, not for one or two days, now it's going to be two weeks."

Jorge is 6'2", had brown hair and brown eyes, and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green Oakley shirt, beige shorts and flip flops.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Miami Beach police or at 305-673-7945 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers (305) 471-TIPS.
