39-Year-Old Prowler Arrested At Sandra Bullock's Bel Air Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police say they arrested a man Sunday morning at the Bel Air Estates home of actress Sandra Bullock.

Officers responded at 6:30 a.m. to the 1200 block of Angelo Drive after someone inside called in to report a prowler, according to the LAPD.

Authorities arrested 39-year-old Joshua Corbett on suspicion of burglary.

No word yet on whether the suspect was found with any of Bullock's property in his possession.

Corbett, a Glendale resident, was taken to the LAPD Mens Central Jail and is being held on $50,000 bail.

Investigators would not say whether the Oscar-winning actress was the person who called police but on Sunday evening confirmed she was at home at the time of the security breach.

KCAL9's Bobby Kaple said security around the Beverly Crest home is elaborate -- there is a wrought iron fence, barbed wire and security cameras every where you look. But somehow Corbett got in.

"My reaction is that I'm surprised," said Jim Heidt, grandfather of Corbett's son, to Kaple.

Heidt said Corbett lives with him.

Kaple asked if Corbett had any interest in Bullock.

"No," Heidt said, "That is beyond my ability to comprehend."

Bullock spent part of last night at Spike TV's "Guys' Choice Awards" in Culver City -- she received the Decade of Hotness Award.

At the time police received the  "hot prowler" call Sunday morning, Bullock neighbor Elan Tehrani said his dogs started barking non-stop.

"I just heard a lot of barking, I'm not surprised to hear that," Tehrani said.

Bullock is best known for her roles in "Gravity," "Speed," "The Blind Side" and "Miss Congeniality."
