Customers selling gently used books get 50 percent of the books original purchase price in store credit. Dunbar Old Books is commonly referred to as a Warehouse Bookstore. Over 80 percent of Dunbar's stock is out-of-print books. This store is well known as a bookstore that carries books in several different languages, including Spanish. Dunbar's became famous in the Miami area after the New Times Newspaper named it as Miami's Best Used Bookstore for 2010. The owners of Dunbar's Old Books was even interviewed by Nigel Beale of Book Hunter Press.

Second Edition Book Shop contains both new and used books for purchase. The books are sold at only half the cover price, and many of them are sold at less than half the cover price. The store operators are happy to trade your used books for books from their inventory of books. There are also soft, overstuffed chairs tucked away in the corners of the store so visitors can relax and read a book at the store. The owners of this wonderful book store won the coveted Best Local Bookstore title in 2013 and 2014, which was awarded by WPIC Local 10. This bookstore has even been seen in the movies! The movie "Patient Killer" had several scenes filmed in the Second Edition Book Shop.
