Wes Welker Hands Out $100 Bills At Kentucky Derby

LOUISVILLE, Kent. (CBS4) – Some horse racing fans are now fans of Wes Welker.

Welker was in Louisville for the Kentucky Derby.

Welker was walking with a friend and a police officer carrying a large stack of money. He then started to hand out $100 bills until the police officer stopped him.

Jeff Novak has been a celebrity watcher at the Derby for years.

"He just won probably hundreds of thousands of dollars so he just started handing money to people like it was no big thing," Novak told For The Win. "I think six of us ended up with $100 bills."

Prior to the start of the 2013 NFL season, the Broncos signed Welker to a 2-year deal worth $12 million.
