Top Bar Food In Philadelphia

Philadelphia is known for having great places to eat, and its bars are no different. Here are some of the best spots for bar food in Philadelphia.

Doobies
2201 Lombard St.
Philadelphia, PA 19146
(215) 546-0316
www.facebook.com/Doobies

Don't let Dobbies' classic dive bar feel fool you – the food here is surprisingly good. It's a favorite among locals in the Fitler Square area and many of its patrons are regulars. The menu changes frequently, but some of the staples include chili (try the Papaya's Special Chili with cheddar, sour cream and tortilla chips), baked potatoes and pita pizzas. You can even create your own pizzas, sandwiches and burgers! The beer offerings here are as good as the food, with plenty of craft beer and city-wide specials to boot.

Good Dog Bar
224 S. 15th St.
Philadelphia, PA 19102
(215) 985-9600
www.gooddogbar.com

Good Dog might seem like a typical dive bar from the outside, but this place is anything but, serving some of the best comfort food in town. In fact, it has even been featured on the Food Network. The Roquefort cheese-stuffed Good Dog Burger is a must try for all visitors to the bar. Other delicious items served here include the truffled cheesesteak empanadas, duck pot pie and Korean BBQ sliders. Once you're finished stuffing yourself, head upstairs to play a game of darts or pool or head to the bar to get a drink from one of the friendly bartenders.

Grace Tavern
2229 Grays Ferry Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19146
(215) 893-9580
www.gracetavern.com

Grace Tavern has been serving the Graduate Hospital area since opening in 2004. It serves four different burgers, like the classic Grace Burger (with tomato, lettuce, red onion, swiss cheese) or the Kellys Burger (bacon and sharp cheddar). It is also known for its Cajun spiced blackened green beans, the jambalaya and its variety of sausages (spinach and feta cheese sausage, for example). The kitchen is open until 2 a.m. every night, so you can enjoy some delicious food and drink craft beer to your heart's content. The people behind Monk's Tavern and Nodding Head Brewery & Restaurant are also behind Grace's, so you know its drink selection is just as impressive as its food.
