Company Marketing Radiation-shielding Underwear For Men

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Men, feel like your package needs some extra, um, packaging?

A new type of boxer brief might be just what you're looking for.

Clothing company Belly Armor, which claims to make apparel that blocks everyday radiation "with 99.9% effectiveness," has a new creation just for men.

It's called the RadiaShield Boxer-Brief, and it features a silver panel made of special fabric in the crotch area that's supposed to reduce radiation exposure to your man parts.

The company cites a study from the Cleveland Clinic that alleges the "use of cell phones by men is associated with a decrease in semen quality. The decrease in sperm count, motility, viability, and normal morphology is related to the duration of exposure to cell phones."

In other words, putting your phone in the pocket of your pants for hours on end could be harming your fertility.

Belly Armor's protective boxers are available starting Oct. 23rd, but guarding your twig and berries from supposedly dangerous radiation doesn't come cheap – the undies go for $49 a pair.
