Want to be a 2015 Phillies Ballgirl?

Update: The deadline to apply to be a Phillies ballgirl has been extended until Friday, October 24th!

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Now is your chance to be a Phillies Ballgirl.

Fans have until Friday, October 17, to apply to be a Phillies Ballgirl, a program presented by Macy's.

This will be the only opportunity to become a Phillies Ballgirl for the 2015 season. Qualified candidates will represent the organization in the community, as well as perform duties on the field. Requirements include:

 

  • Public relations skills: i.e. taken communications, broadcasting or public speaking classes
  • Softball experience and knowledge of the game of baseball
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality
  • Flexible schedule – must be willing to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

 

How to Apply:

Go to phillies.com/ballgirls for information on how to apply to be a Phillies Ballgirl. Applicants will be required to send a resume, along with a two minute video highlighting their softball experience and explaining the reason(s) why they should be selected to be a Phillies Ballgirl.

ABOUT THE PHILLIES BALLGIRLS PRESENTED BY MACY'S

The Phillies Ballgirls are ambassadors for the Phillies both on and off the field. They represent educated, athletic and energetic women who hope to serve as role models in professional sports for young girls.

Each year, the Phillies Ballgirls make over 150 off-field appearances including TV and radio as well as school visits, nursing home visits, golf and bowling tournaments and fashion shows. They also play a minimum of 10 softball games which all have a charity element.
