BART Train Catches Fire In Hayward

HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- BART is trying to figure out what caused one of its trains to catch fire in Hayward Sunday morning.

The car was undergoing maintenance work at the Hayward yard when it caught fire.

Crews had replaced a section underneath the train before the fire.  The Hayward Fire Department quickly extinguished the flames, and kept them from getting inside the train.

No one was injured in the fire.  Only the outside of the train was damaged.
