Philadelphia Supergroup 'In The Pocket' Sets Up For Saturday Night Concert At Ardmore Music Hall

By Molly Daly

ARDMORE, Pa. (CBS) --- In the Pocket, a group made up of some of the area's best-known rockers and singer/songwriters, celebrates its latest release, a single paying homage to Hall and Oates, with a concert Saturday night at the Ardmore Music Hall.

Hooters drummer and In the Pocket founder David Uosikkinen concedes "Fall in Philadelphia" doesn't paint a rosy picture of the City of Brotherly Love, but says that's part of its charm.

"It's a great story, and it shows what great songwriters they are and were," he said.

As you might expect, In the Pocket's latest release boasts an all-star lineup. "Great singer named Zou Zou Mansour, who is singing 'Fall in Philadelphia,' and Kevin Hanson from Huffamoose is playing on it, Glenn McClellan is playing piano, Eric Bazilian -- the great Eric Bazilian -- is playing guitar," he said.

The project's come up in the world since the first gig four years ago this week. "We played at a little bar in Conshohocken," Uosikkinen said. "They wouldn't even turn to the tv off."

Saturday evening, they play the Ardmore Music Hall. Doors open at 8. Find out more at songsinthepocket.org
