'Credible Threat' Prompts Evacuation Of West Valley College In Saratoga

SARATOGA (CBS SF) -- A "credible threat" has prompted the evacuation of West Valley College in Saratoga.

According to the college's website, all students, faculty and staff were being evacuated off campus Wednesday morning and the campus was officially closed.

A school official said a student overheard a conversation and decided to report it. It is still not clear what exactly the student overheard, but campus officials were taking the threat very seriously.

"The campus has received a credible threat... if you are not on campus yet, do not come to the campus," instructed the website at 11:40 a.m. "Updates will be available on our website and social media."
