Major Bridal Sale Set For Valentine's Day Weekend

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Love is in the air with Valentine's Day this Sunday. Saturday may wind up being the more important day that many women have been waiting for all year long.

The annual bridal extravaganza at the Goodwill Store in Pennsauken, NJ is set for this weekend.

Brides will have to brace themselves for the sale known as the 8th Annual Running of the Brides Valentine's Day Weekend Bridal Sale Extravaganza.

The sale will have something for the beach wedding, the country wedding, the city wedding and everything else in between.

The sale will feature designer, dream dresses for brides at major discounts. In addition to the almost 400 gowns, the sale will feature accessories, veils and shoes.

Some of the dresses include the original price tag, so the savings are very evident. No dress will be more than $300.

"We do 15 to 18 brides in the bridal room at a time and then once they head into the dressing room we let another round in. We keep it very controlled," said Goodwill spokesperson Juli Lundberg, who says its a huge fundraiser.

"All of our revenues fund job training programs that help people with disabilities get to work," said Lundberg.

This year there will be more than 400 new and gently used bridal gowns ranging in price from $49 to $300. The new dresses retail from about $200 to $2,500. There will be wedding party dresses, tiaras and a whole lot more.

Doors open at the Route 70 Goodwill at 9 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. Saturday.
