Bears' Martellus Bennett Out Against Packers

By Chris Emma--

(CBS) A day shy of the big Thanksgiving game in Green Bay, the Bears have offered clarity to their injury statuses.

Chicago tight end Martellus Bennett will miss Thursday's game with a rib injury, as announced Wednesday with the full injury report. Bennett hasn't missed a game since 2011. It will be Zach Miller starting in his place.

The Bears have listed running back Matt Forte (knee), receiver Alshon Jeffery (groin), linebacker Pernell McPhee (knee), safety Antrel Rolle (knee), linebacker LaRoy Reynolds and safety Sherrod Martin as questionable. However, Rolle was ruled out by Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who said that Chris Prosinski will start a second straight game at safety.

Forte will play for the first time since suffering an MCL sprain on Nov. 1 against the Vikings.

"I'm good enough to go," Forte said on Wednesday, following a practice running full speed.

Jeffery and McPhee expressed a desire to play in the game, though both have been hampered by respective injuries. McPhee played just 38 of the 69 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Broncos.

Sticking to protocol, McPhee played coy to the fact that he's even injured.

"I'm healthy," McPhee said. "What are you all talking about? I am good. God blessed me. God blessed me good. I'm perfect. I'm 100 percent."

The Bears and Packers kick off at 7:30 p.m. from Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving.
